We run your tech, so you can run your business.

No in-house IT, no time to be IT, and a pile of accounts, devices and security you're half-hoping is fine. We take the lot off your plate: Microsoft 365 and Entra, security, devices, your website, backups and support. Kept healthy, proven correct, and a real person who picks up.

in plain terms

Managed IT means an outside team runs the technology your business depends on - Microsoft 365 and Entra, security and identity, devices, your website, backups and day-to-day support - so you don't have to. For a small firm without in-house IT, it replaces the scramble of doing it yourself, or whoever's free sorting the laptops, with one accountable partner on a flat monthly fee. At iterate that means secure defaults set up properly, MFA and admin access kept correct, laptops patched to a standard, backups that are actually tested, and a real person on a mobile when something breaks. Each month you get a plain-English report that proves it's healthy, rather than taking it on faith. It's sized to fit for teams of roughly 1 to 15 people.

the stuff that's "probably fine"

Until it isn't.

  • Accounts no one's tidiedEx-staff still have access, admin rights have sprawled, MFA is patchy.
  • Devices left to luckNo standard setup, no patching, no idea which laptop has what on it.
  • Onboarding by scrambleNew starter Monday means a frantic morning of accounts, licences and a laptop.
  • Backups you've never testedYou think you're covered. You won't know for sure until you need them.

what we run

Your whole tech function, handled.

01

Microsoft 365 & identity

We become delegated admin on your tenant. MFA everywhere, admin rights reined in, joiner-mover-leaver kept correct, DMARC set so nobody can spoof your domain. One iterate identity in your tenant, revokable any time.

02

Ransomware-resistant backup

Your Microsoft 365 mail, files and SharePoint backed up daily to immutable offsite storage. Self-service portal to browse and download anything you need back yourself. We drill the whole thing every month so we know it actually works, not just that the job ran.

03

Website & analytics

Your site hosted properly, kept current, plus the analytics stack (GA4, session replay, tag management) installed correctly the first time. One partner running all of it, not three vendors pointing at each other.

04

Helpdesk & monthly report

A proper helpdesk portal you sign into with your work identity. Every request tracked, nothing lost in email. Once a month you get a plain-English write-up of what happened, what's healthy, and what needs a look.

website hosting

Your website, hosted simply.

Hosting and care for your site can sit inside your managed IT, or stand on its own. Flat monthly, move up or down any time.

security, in depth

Security's built in - go deeper if you want.

The security work is part of managed IT, not a bolt-on. If you want the detail on a specific piece:

Security audit

Measure your Microsoft 365 exposure against the benchmarks and get a report you can hand an insurer or a customer.

Ransomware protection

Hard to get in, fast to recover - the layers that keep an attack from ending the business.

Email authentication

Stop criminals sending email as your business. It's invoice fraud's number-one trick.

honest about fit

Boutique by design, not always-on enterprise.

We're built for small teams who want their tech sorted, not a 24/7 enterprise operation chasing five nines. That means best-effort support in business hours, no gold-plating, and no charging you for resilience you'll never use. Grow into needing an in-house team or a big MSP, and we'll tell you.

  • Best-effort, business-hours support
  • Flat monthly, no per-ticket surprises
  • Transparent, fair pricing
  • Best for roughly 1 to 15 people

common questions

Managed IT, answered straight.

What does managed IT actually cover?
Microsoft 365 and identity administration (MFA, admin rights, joiner/mover/leaver, DMARC), ransomware-resistant backup with monthly tested restore, website hosting and analytics, a proper helpdesk portal, and a monthly written report. We get the size right the mix to your team and what you're running.
What backup do you use - and how do you know it works?
Self-hosted backup engine writing to immutable offsite storage (Backblaze B2 with Object Lock in Compliance mode). Even a compromised admin can't shorten retention. Every month we do a random-sample restore and physically open the files, so we know the backup is genuinely usable, not just that the job reported success.
Can I get a file back myself without asking?
Yes. Sign in to restore.iterate.nz with your work Microsoft or Google account, browse your backup, download the file. Read-only, per-tenant isolated. If you need a full-tenant recovery from a ransomware event or mass deletion, that's the Managed Recovery side and iterate does it for you.
How does support work?
A proper helpdesk portal - you sign in with your work Microsoft or Google account, raise a request, see the history. Business-hours, best-effort. Everything's tracked so nothing gets lost in email.
How much does managed IT cost in NZ?
One monthly retainer, scoped to what you actually need us to run. Entry-priced for very small firms who just want backup and helpdesk; scales up as we take on more of your surface (website, analytics, delegated M365 admin). Agreed up front after a no-obligation chat, no per-ticket charges, no surprises.
Do you offer 24/7 support?
No, and we're upfront about it. We're best-effort, business-hours support for teams of roughly 1 to 15. If you genuinely need always-on enterprise cover, we'll tell you and point you to it.
What size business is managed IT for?
Roughly 1 to 15 people - small enough that a boutique partner beats a big MSP, big enough that 'whoever's free sorts the laptops' has stopped being a plan.

Stop being your own IT department.

Tell us what you're running and where it hurts. We'll start with the lay of the land, fix the risky bits first, then keep it healthy. Often the next step is building the bits that are missing. Most-bought by professional-services firms; tradies usually want the get-found package instead.
